Ultimate Hour kicked off with The Owskis, who were celebrating their victory at Now or Never with the PSA Faithful. Now that Josh Grabowski’s match with Johnny Warren is guaranteed, Andrew has no doubt that we will see a new PSA World Champion come Ground Zero V. Before they could continue the festivities, however, they were interrupted by the reformed K+L Qlub. Andrew made it clear in his staredown with Leonard Lopez that he isn’t happy about his mortal enemy being back on the PSA roster, but there is a peace between them while they focus on The Lifeblood Initiative. As for why The K+L Qlub were out there, they noted that it has been nearly two years since they last teamed up, and tonight was the night to change that. So, they started the night with a bang by issuing an open challenge!
This challenge was answered by The Beautiful Boys, who were also the team that brought The K+L Qlub’s second Title reign to an end. Keith and Lopez had a lot to prove in this match, and it became abundantly clear within the first few minutes that the chemistry between them was stronger than ever. Hale tried to set Lopez up for the Element of Surprise, but it was countered into a vicious Jawbreaker to secure the win for the returning best friends.
Backstage, it was revealed that in preparation for his impending PSA Hardcore Championship match, Andrew Frankowski would be taking an extended leave of absence. He thanked Wisteria and Josh Grabowski for wishing him luck, and he left by promising that when he returns, he will show everyone why he was chosen for greatness.
The PSA Faithful expected Johnny Warren to talk about what happened at Now or Never, but he was actually here to give a huge announcement: the return of the Roster Rumble! At Ground Zero V, 30 recruits will compete in a battle royal, with the winner earning a guaranteed PSA contract. This reveal was a welcome surprise, but it was cut short by Shawn Westin. He wasn’t surprised by “The Lifeblood” ignoring Josh Grabowski, as everyone knows come Ground Zero V, “The ‘Rilla” will be walking out on top. That’s all well and good, but Westin was tired of sitting around and waiting for his opportunity. He wanted to shake things up, so he challenged Warren to a match for the PSA World Championship at Carnival of Conquest. “The Lifeblood” admitted that he’d normally be furious at someone coming out here and demanding a Title shot when they don’t deserve it, but this whole situation was so ludicrous that he couldn’t help but entertain the idea. He offered Westin a deal: if Dean Cottonsmith defeats Cali Dynamite in tonight’s Main Event, Westin will get his match. Can Cottonsmith do the impossible?
Most men would take the night off after a match with “The Blood Hunter,” but Hell Gigante wanted to get back into the action against Maximilien Plouffe. “France’s Strongest Son” gave him a good fight, but it wasn’t enough to take down “The Gatekeeper.” After defeating Plouffe with the Diablo Driver, Gigante grabbed a microphone and vowed to defend the PSA Hardcore Championship against anyone brave enough to face him. Who will step up to Hell Gigante?
Next, Hayley demanded a confrontation with the PSA Women’s World Champion, Brittany Blake. She claimed that the only reason she wasn’t standing there with the Gold is because of her sister, and now that she dealt with that problem at Now or Never, Hayley can reclaim her place as the “rightful” Champion. These comments were cut short by an enraged Tara, who ran down through the crowd and launched a vicious assault on “The Lawbringer.” Security eventually got the two women separated, and Tara was upset to learn that this ambush resulted in her indefinite suspension from PSA.
Cruella Castonova took on Council of M’s MC Dera in singles competition. Castonova was in a league of her own in this match, and she connected with the Nova Bomb to take down her opponent with ease. After the match, Castonova was confronted by the likes of Maria Phoenix, Cheese Louise, Marcee, and Marcia, who all wanted a shot at the Roster Roulette Championship. Luckily, they will all get that chance when they face in a #1 Contendership match next week!
Cirque du Shaam came out to speak to the PSA Faithful, but they were immediately joined by the four-man alliance of Spitfire. Goldielox told Cirque du Shaam that they’d be coming for them, and now was the time to collect those Tag Titles; in fact, he’s willing to put the Ultimate Hour Championship on the line to get Spitfire the match. Cirque du Shaam thought this was a fair trade, so they made it official; at Carnival of Conquest, these two teams will collide in a Winners Take All match! Allen went to shake Goldielox’s hand, but Spitfire used this opportunity to get a cheap shot in on the Champions. Luckily, Drew Pender ran down to make the save, which convinced his rivals to escape through the crowd. Which team will leave Carnival of Conquest the PSA Tag Team Champions?
In our Main Event, Dean Cottonsmith fought for Shawn Westin’s honor against Cali Dynamite. Dean has a heart of gold, but no one thought that would be enough to take down someone on the level of “The Firecracker.” Nevertheless, Dean refused to give up, which quickly elevated the frustration of his opponent. Dynamite began to mock his opponent, and he even used an exposed turnbuckle to distract the referee while he readied for a chair shot. Before he could hit it, however, he was stopped by Josh Grabowski, who had appeared at ringside. To everyone’s shock, this distraction allowed Cottonsmith to roll-up Dynamite long enough to get the win! With his Title match secured, can Shawn Westin become PSA World Champion?
Before Now or Never began, Johnny Warren addressed the PSA Faithful. He explained that defeating Keith at Finest Hour was supposed to be the end of this rebellion against The Lifeblood Initiative, but “he” decided to ruin it. “The Lifeblood” is enraged, but not because of Josh Grabowski; instead, he is disgusted by his awful performance inside Heck in a Seck. So, in an attempt to absolve himself of his sins, Warren has agreed to give Grabowski one opportunity to “make things right.” Tonight, Johnny Warren will team up with Brittany Blake and Corwin to take on the team of Andrew Frankowski, Drew Pender, and Leonard Lopez inside the Pit of Glory. If Team Owski wins, Andrew will earn a future PSA Hardcore Championship match, Drew Pender will get another showdown with Goldielox, Leonard Lopez’s PSA contract will be reinstated, and Josh Grabowski will face Johnny Warren for the PSA World Championship at Ground Zero V. However, this is Team Owski’s one and only opportunity to do it; who will prevail?
Although Josh Grabowski wasn’t allowed to compete in the Pit of Glory later tonight, he had the chance to earn the advantage for his team when he collided with Cali Dynamite. This was a back-and-forth, hard-hitting encounter between two top talents, but in the end Grabowski reversed the Boomstick into a 10KG to earn the pinfall victory and set Team Owski up for success.
Next, Hell Gigante sought vengeance for Trunk when he stepped inside the Hunter’s Haven with Bruno Bolousek. “The Blood Hunter” was prepared to walk out on top, but his recent run-ins with Andrew Frankowski left him less focused than usual. Gigante used this to advantage, as he powered out of the Mark of the Allmother and connected with three Diablo Drivers to cap off this incredible match with a shocking victory! No one was more stunned than Bruno, who limped out of the arena more broken than ever.
Goldielox's first Ultimate Hour Championship defense came in the form of the Jonsun Culinary Academy’s Dalton Pepper. This was a great match, which saw both men trying to hit their Signature moves on one another to no avail. Pepper gained the upper hand and was primed to connect with the Salt Shaker, but Goldielox reversed it into a wicked Shredder to retain instead. After the match, “The Gilded Greatness” welcomed P-Money and Montana Malibu, who were revealed as the newest members of Spitfire! Not only that, but Goldielox made it clear that he wants to do what Drew Pender never has: become a Double Champion. Can anyone stop Spitfire’s quest for Championship Gold?
The PSA Tag Team Championship was on the line between The JCA and Cirque du Shaam. As the match went on, fans noticed that Jeff Jonsun was notably slower than usual, and Allen used this opportunity to hit him with the Friendship Bracelet. To everyone’s surprise, this action actually gave Jonsun a second wind! The PSA Original went on a tear, but a second Friendship Bracelet was all it took to retain the Title and put an end to this short-lived comeback.
Before our next match, a video aired of Corwin training at home in preparation for tonight’s Main Event. As he entered his living room, however, he was ambushed by his former tag team partner, Casual Adam! Now that “The Good One” had vanquished Spoonman, Adam was ready to confront the man that abandoned him at last year’s Fallout. The two men brawled all over the house in one of the greatest segments in PSA history, and it reached its climax when Adam threw “The Devil’s Chosen One” through his screen door and down the hill in the front yard! As Adam stood victorious over his Corwin, he only had three words to say: “Bret, you’re next!”
Bret Pender refuses to back down from a challenge, so he agreed to step back into a PSA ring to avenge his son against Casual Adam. There was chaos galore (as one would expect from a Casual Confrontation), but Adam’s experience and determination led him to victory with the Sound Check.
Finest Hour reignited the hatred between Hayley and Tara, so it was only right that they faced off once again here. Tara was actually in control for most of the match, which forced Hayley to roll out of the ring for a breather. Tara chose to follow, but she was caught in a trap! After blindsiding her sister with a Spear, “The Lawbringer” threw her into the crowd and crawled back into the ring; by the time Tara had regained consciousness, the 10-Count had already arrived. Hayley may have walked out victorious tonight, but it’s only a matter of time before Tara is back for vengeance.
The future of PSA hung in the balance inside Pit of Glory III. Drew Pender and Corwin kicked things off for their respective teams, and their knowledge of each other’s offense kept things evenly matched. The addition of Leonard Lopez and Brittany Blake gave the advantage to Team Owski, as there were a few disagreements between the members of Team Lifeblood. When Andrew Frankowski joined, however, he had a hard time getting along with his mortal enemy. These issues nearly cost Team Owski the match, but things changed when Lopez pushed Andrew out of the way of an incoming Warhammer and took the hit instead. Realizing that this victory meant more than his own personal grudges, Andrew sprang into action by Sandbagging Warren and getting into a brawl with Corwin. Seeing an opening, Drew Pender hit Blake with Scorched Earth to earn the win for Team Owski!
