Johnny Warren opened the evening with a State of the Alliance Address. He apologized to the PSA Faithful for selecting Keith as “his” World Champion, and now it was time to correct that mistake. Unfortunately, as Keith was being stretchered out of the arena last week, PSA Officials misplaced the PSA World Championship. To Warren’s surprise, however, Corwin appeared from the shadows holding the Title! Corwin told Johnny Warren that if he wanted the belt back, then he needed to take it for himself; after all, wasn’t he the one to pin Keith at Tidal Wave? Warren felt like he was being manipulated, but he agreed to take possession of the Title for now and make his final decision next week. As he reached for the Gold, however, Drew Pender appeared out of nowhere with a Spear to “The Devil’s Chosen One!” Pender screamed at Warren for ignoring his calls, and he threatened to ruin every single PSA event until he’s given what he deserves: an 8-man tournament where the winner faces Drew for the Ultimate Hour Championship. Warren wanted to tell him no, but the fear of losing one of his top stars forced him to agree. To ensure he maintains control, however, the Director of PSA added an additional stipulation: Drew picks the participants, while Warren decides the matchups. With the stage officially set, the PSA Faithful were eager to see who would leave the night as Man of the Hour!
The first match in the Man of the Hour Tournament was Johnny Warren vs Corwin III. Both men took advantage of the no disqualification stipulation to make this a highly competitive and brutal showdown, but in the end Warren picked up the win when he Shatterpointed Corwin on a barbed wire baseball bat.
In the event that Johnny Warren turned down his idea, Drew Pender brought in two wrestlers to help take over by force. Since this was not necessary, however, Pender thanked the pair by giving them spots in the Man of the Hour Tournament. J-Mike and Jack both proved to be worthy competitors, but J-Mike was the one who walked out on top.
As a preview for the PSA Tag Team Championship match at Ground Zero IV, Josh Grabowski faced off against Casual Adam. Adam tried his best, but all it took was one 10,000 Pound Gorilla for Grabowski to get the pinfall victory.
The PSA Faithful are very familiar with the rivalry between Andrew Frankowski and Leonard Lopez, so Johnny Warren thought it was only right for them to collide once again. Lopez actually had the match won with the Jawbreaker, but he let the pin go and did the ultimate disrespect: he beat Andrew with his own move, the Sandbag.
J-Mike and Josh Grabowski squared off next. Similarly to his last match, all it took was one 10KG for Josh to walk out victorious. Even in defeat, however, both J-Mike and Jack proved to be excellent talents, and it’s possible that they may find a more permanent home in PSA if the opportunity presents itself in the future.
The next match in the Man of the Hour Tournament saw Johnny Warren face Leonard Lopez for the first time ever. This was one of the most brutal matches of the night, as Warren took all of his frustrations with Keith out on his best friend. Warren likely could have won the match, but he would rather lose to Lopez than ever step in the ring with Josh Grabowski. He demanded “The Jawbreaker’s” worst, and he got it when Lopez hit him with a Super Jawbreaker off the top of a ladder to end the fight.
Josh Grabowski, seeking vengeance for his Owski brother earlier in the night, faced off with Leonard Lopez. Josh truly was on another level tonight, and this match was no exception. After an incredible showdown, Josh defeated the Ultimate Hour Champion with a pop-up 10KG to earn a date with his storied rival, Drew Pender.
Josh Grabowski and Drew Pender, who had what is widely considered to be the greatest match in PSA history, faced off for a legendary third encounter in our Main Event. Man of the Hour was a night full of surprises, but no one in the PSA Faithful was ready for the return of “The God of PSA!” Although the Man of the Hour Tournament was technically over, it was time for Josh Grabowski to step into “The God’s Gauntlet” for the Ultimate Hour Championship. The two had a highly competitive showdown, but it was nearly ruined by Leonard Lopez, who tried to cost Drew Pender the Title. Grabowski wanted to win it the right way, however, so he restarted the match similarly to how Dave did at Tidal Wave. The two men continued to fight, but the fatigue of wrestling four matches in one night finally caught up to Grabowski, who was taken down by a Super Spear that crowned Drew Pender as Ultimate Hour Champion!
