The final Ultimate Hour before Tidal Wave began with a matchup between the Men’s Debt Collector, Goldielox, and Allen. Allen was poised to get a huge win with the Friendship Bracelet, but “The Gilded Greatness” countered it into a Midas Touch to pull off the victory. As Goldielox celebrated his victory, however, he was ambushed by Samuel Binglebottom! He yelled at Goldielox for trying to spread lies to P-Money last week, and he announced that “The Smack Rapper” himself will prove his loyalty to Binglebottom Industries when he steps in the ring with him at Tidal Wave.
Backstage, Dave was seen meeting with PSA’s Medical Personnel. It was clear that “The Shellraiser’s” injuries are far worse than anyone anticipated, which made staff hesitant to clear him for Tidal Wave. However, Dave’s insistence on defending the Ultimate Hour Championship, in addition to his intimidating size, convinced doctors to rule him medically fit to compete. Can Dave power through the pain, or will his injuries finally catch up to him?
The PSA Faithful were witness to trios action as the Jonsun Culinary Academy took on The High Five. The JCA’s momentum continued to swing in the right direction, as Dalton Pepper pinned Trunk at the end of a fun contest to score another win “For the Academy!”
Outside the arena, we caught up with Brittany Blake and Cruella Castonova after their ambush on Ashes of the Spear last week. They revealed that Hayley and Tara were actually banned from appearing tonight, but they won’t be gone for long. Blake and Castonova vowed to humiliate Ashes of the Spear at Tidal Wave, as the two teams will collide in a Beach Brawl!
As Blake and Castonova entered the arena, they bumped into Shawn Westin, Janice Janet, and Dean Cottonsmith, who were once again waiting outside Johnny Warren’s office. Ben Richards and JX2 yelled at them to leave, as Warren demanded peace and quiet prior to his discussion with Leonard Lopez later tonight. Unfortunately, this trio were not taking a no for an answer. This commotion brought out the Director of PSA, who eagerly agreed to give Cottonsmith a match right now! However, the smirk on Warren’s face signaled to everyone that this was more of a punishment than an opportunity…
Dean Cottonsmith was thrilled to return to in-ring action, but this quickly turned to fear when it was announced that he would be competing in a No Disqualification match. Not only that, but his opponent was the PSA Hardcore Champion, Drew Pender! “The Shepherd of Fire” embarrassed the bloodied Cottonsmith in this match, which came to an end when Pender hit his opponent with the What Goes Up Must Come Down on a steel chair. Will this aggression be enough to take down Bruno Bolousek at Tidal Wave?
Before the next match, Casual Adam was distraught backstage. He’s tried to find a tag team partner for weeks, and he has failed every single time. He looked ready to give up, but a figure appeared from the shadows: Pletch! “The Pig,” who surprisingly didn’t have his mystery box with him, mentioned that he has a history with both members of The Owskis, so he wants to get revenge at Tidal Wave. Casual Adam excitedly agreed, and the pair walked off to come up with a plan for next week.
After taking down Macho Mars last week, La Biblioteca set her sights on Marcia. “La Mueñeca Muerta” was a force to be reckoned with, but Biblioteca used her superior strength to hit the Checkout and get the win. Can she do the same to Marcee at Tidal Wave?
In our Main Event, Johnny Warren and Ben Richards came down to the ring and awaited Leonard Lopez. The PSA Faithful have been anticipating his decision for a week, with no one knowing whether he would pick the Ultimate Hour Championship or his best friend. Lopez followed shortly after, but he was not alone; alongside him was the PSA World Champion, Keith! As the four men stood in the ring together, “The Lifeblood” demanded an answer. Lopez grabbed a microphone and was going to join his friend in a tag team match, but Keith snatched the microphone and announced that Lopez will face Dave in a rematch for the Ultimate Hour Championship! Warren, disappointed that Keith put his friend’s needs over PSA, made the match official and warned that he and Richards will see him at Tidal Wave.
